The City of San Antonio held a public inauguration on Wednesday at the Arneson River Theatre for its new city council and mayor, Ron Nirenberg. Each council member from the city's ten districts gave a short speech about how excited and optimistic they are about driving San Antonio forward. The mayor followed suit and spoke about his hope for uniting the city.
This week, The Greater San Antonio Builders Association has opened the Parade of Homes, a showcase of elaborate houses from San Antonio's top home builders. The eight houses on display offer visitors the opportunity to see the latest in homebuilding design, technology, architecture, interior design, and landscaping that the featured builders have to offer. The Parade of Homes is located in The Canyons at Scenic Loop, one of San Antonio's newest hill country communities, and will be open from May 20 - May 29.
A weekend trip turned into an unforgettable experience. Three days definitely aren't enough to take in all that New Orleans has to offer. The architecture, the jazz, the streetcar system, and even the human statues make this city truly unique. I know I'll be back for another round soon. I have recommendations I still haven't seen, such as Frenchman Street, which was recommended by two Uber drivers. Plus places that deserve another visit.
